Gratitude Platter

"What are you thankful for?", we asked the students. They each filled their platter, paper for lower grades, ceramic for 8th, with images and words of inspiration that resonnated with them and made them thankful. The platter is a way for the kids to say thank you to their parents and guardians.

Haunted House Reveal

This was a super fun and interesting project using neon oil pastels and black acrylic, and a wood stick, to create or reveal a scary house with spiders, ghouls and bats.

Frida Kahlo Portraits - Oil Pastels

All the art students had lots of fun making gorgeous Frida Kahlo portraits on black construction paper with oil pastels. Lower grades also listened to a storybook of this amazing woman's short and creative life.

Community Love Boards!!

Our OLF Parish was wondering if we in Art Class could provide a give-away for all the participants of the OLF Mission Week organized in the beginning on October. All the classes K-5 and 7th grade put their hearts into creating their own personal "Community Love Board" and they turned out beautifully.

Making Masquerade Masks!

Kids love masks, and in mid October all the students made their own clay masks, and got to explore different masks from around the world. Most of the masks are on display in the hallway across from our library, take a peek when you come in for student/teacher conferences.
